With spring showing up in full bloom, I want to continue our chat about yoga and its connection to this rejuvenating season because yoga offers a rejuvenation for our minds and bodies – just like spring does.
So far, we’ve discussed a few of the similarities between the season and our yoga practice, including Renewal and Rejuvenation and Flexibility and Growth.
A third reason that yoga matters in the spring is about letting go.
Spring cleaning often involves letting go of items we no longer need. Similarly, yoga teaches us to let go of what no longer serves us—whether it’s physical tension, negative thoughts, or old habits.
This allows us to fully embrace the present moment and make space for our own growth.
As you clear out the clutter during your next spring-cleaning session, take time to refresh your yoga space so you can practice self-care with your yoga practice this spring.
Journal Prompt
For our first journaling prompt (or contemplation prompt if that’s more your style) in April, try this:
What would I like to let go of this season so I can make space for more of what I love?
If you’re not a member yet, this is the perfect time to join. This month we’re working with the intention: I am clever, courageous, and caring.
Each time you show up, you create the space to build your self-confidence so you can grow into the person you want to become.
Wishing you a season filled with growth, renewal, and plenty of time on your yoga mat!
See you soon!
P.S. Check back next week as we talk about connecting to nature through yoga.
