Self Confidence

This week, I want to talk about something that comes up often in our yoga community: self-confidence. It’s easy to think that confidence is something you either have or you don’t. But in truth, it’s built quietly day by day, practice by practice.

As we focus on our January intention (What I do today has the potential to improve all of my tomorrows), I’m reminded that self-confidence grows in these small, intentional moments.

What if the real secret to confidence isn’t a grand gesture or a major life change, but in each small moment you decide to show up for yourself? Every gentle stretch, every mindful breath, every time you return to your mat (even for just 10 minutes), lays another stone on the pathway toward believing in yourself.

Consistency Matters for Self-Confidence

Consistency, not perfection, is where transformation happens. When self-doubt creeps in, or when you feel too busy or overwhelmed to focus on yourself, remember: it’s those little choices that truly add up. Each bit of movement and presence helps lift the weight of ‘not enough’ off your shoulders. You are building confidence, quietly and steadily, whether you notice it each day or not.

Journal Prompt:

What is one small, consistent action you can take this week to nurture your self-confidence? Write it down. Notice how you feel after each practice, no matter how short or simple.

The Membership

Try any class from the On-Demand Membership—even if you only have a few minutes. Each practice is designed to help you reconnect, breathe, and notice your own strength. If you’re looking for a live experience, our Live Membershipmeets three times a week for accessible, supportive classes that encourage self-belief and community.

Remember, every time you show up—even imperfectly—you’re reminding yourself that you are worth the effort. Over time, those little moments of presence and care grow into true confidence.

P.S. Your worth is not measured by how much you do or how perfectly you practice. Every mindful breath is a step toward believing in yourself, just as you are today.
