2026 Pose of the Year

For the past decade, I’ve picked a challenging “Pose of the Year” for us to work toward. It’s a pose that at first always feels a little out of reach. But as the months pass, I watch your confidence grow and your practice transform in ways that always inspire me. This year, we’ve been working on balancing half-bound lotus.

Seeing you show up, try, wobble, and surprise yourselves has been a highlight of my year. I love watching your progress and the way you stick with it, even if it felt impossible at first.

For 2026, I want to do something different. I want you to help choose our next Pose of the Year!

What pose has been calling to you? Is there one you find challenging, inspiring, or maybe even a little intimidating? Let’s dream big together and pick something that will help us all grow in strength, focus, and self-trust.

How to Share Your Ideas:

  • Send me an email with your suggestion (and why you’d love to work on it!)
  • Or bring your idea to our next live class. I’d love to hear it in person!

Remember, the Pose of the Year isn’t about perfection or keeping pace with anyone else. Since our membership is online, your journey is truly your own. It’s about showing up for yourself, noticing your progress, and surprising yourself with what you can do over time.

I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

This Week’s Journal Prompt:
What pose have you always wanted to master or feel more confident in? What would it mean for you to work on it all year, step by step?

Whether you’re joining a live class or practicing with our on-demand library, remember: you are stronger than you think, and every bit of progress is worth celebrating.

P.S. Please write back and let me know which pose you’d like to work on in the coming year. 💫 There are only three poses, it definitely won’t be (this year’s pose of the year, headstand, or handstand), but because our community is always growing, I’m happy to revisit another past pose of the year.
