Usually, these articles are about you, your goals, and tools to help you reach your goals but I feel like I need to get personal for a change. I’ve been struggling lately and, in case, you can relate I want you to know that you are not alone.
Over the years February has gotten harder and harder for me. Between the short days and the freezing temperatures, my spark fades. Last year I (half-jokingly) said it would be my last February in the middle of a continent, yet here I sit. I tell you this not for sympathy or advice but to let you know what gets me through.
It’s yoga. Yoga helps me feel better.
Every day I get on my mat because it helps. I focus on my breath and the present moment as I flow. I test my muscles and my balance. I giggle when I fall.
I always feel better after I finish than before I started and most days I’m finished in under 30 minutes.
Oh, and the Live online classes are the best because I connect with like-minded people without having to brave the cold. 😊
If you’ve been struggling lately because of the weather, the ongoing pandemic, work, or any other life situations, check out this article about Mood-Boosting Yoga and then roll out your mat and flow today. It helps.
I recently shared something in my Instagram stories that has really stuck with me, so I wanted to share it again:
When you practice yoga once a week, you change your mind.
When you practice yoga twice a week, you change your body.
When you practice yoga daily, it will change your life.
What do you think about it? How often do you practice and what has changed because of it? It’s always helpful to reflect back and remember what works and is propelling you forward and to dream about what could be when you change things up.
P.S. Did you hear about the giveaway? We’re super close to having 45 members and my birthday is almost here! To celebrate I’m giving away a Stacey Stufflebeam Yoga mug to the 45th member. Will you be the 45th member, gain full access to our mood-boosting yoga membership, and get the mug? Sign up now. You’re worth access to feeling better daily.
Imagine the pick-me-up you would get from sipping your favorite warm beverage and building a consistent yoga practice.
